A Massachusetts city was seeking to reduce its energy usage across municipal and school facilities as part of its goal to become eco-friendlier and more sustainable.
Solution
Our assessment allowed us to recommend a range of control mechanisms and initiatives, including EV charging stations for city employees. Advanced Energy Group is a municipal contractor and an approved Green Community contractor, which allows us to provide cities and towns with turnkey opportunities. We can also assist them with the approval process to become a Green Community.
Results
The changes implemented resulted in a 25% reduction in energy usage, saving the city $25,000 per year, while improving working conditions. More than 50% of project costs were covered by incentives.
